It is still Chinese New Year, isn't it?

Well, I'd initially wanted to write something about the significance of Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration (29 Jan 2006) but procrastinated until now. Anyway, it is still CNY considering that CNY is celebrated over a period of 15 days.....

I don't quite remember everything about the past Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrations except that it's always a "MUST" to have reunions with family, relatives and friends!! I guess that's what makes the celebration so significant and worthwhile celebrating because family members and relatives from far and near would somehow make it their utmost priority to be home wherever they are :)

I always had a great time of reunion with my family, relatives and friends in the past during this festive season and this year's celebration is no exception! Well, I still had my fair share of fun and laughter chatting with all my grown up cousins ( Chong Yin..who has gotten himself an English name some years back when he started working - F-E-L-I-X haha, his two sisters; Bee Leng & Lee Ling, then adorable Fern Fern & Chern Chern and pretty "fer ling gal" and her brothers; Christopher and Jonathan) and not to forget my sweetie little Ju Ee who has just turned six on the first day of CNY 29 Jan 2006 :)

Anyway, I guess I had a much mellow attitude this time round. I never liked farewells and was still caught unprepared to bid farewell to an old friend, Sen when she called me on the first day of CNY. Sen was my first friend way back in primary one and all these years, though we don't see nor talk to one another as often as we used to back in primary school, yet somehow, Sen always have a special place in my heart. I thank God for Sen and for her blessed marriage recently on 7 Jan 2006. Sen would always say that she remembers my house phone even after all these years and well I wanted to say the same but after she moved house, I can't seem to remember the new number haha :)

Well, I just read Sen's e-mail today. I reckon it will take a while before Sen and Eric could really settle down comfortably in London but whatever it is, I believe both of them will always be in good hands wherever they are! I pray that God will keep them safe and provide for their every need in a foreign country!! I also pray for wisdom, faithfulness, commitment, understanding, trust, and unfailing love to come upon this newly wed as they begin their life together as husband and wife!! May each passing day be filled with God's grace, mercy and love! Please do take care Sen!! Anything call or e-mail me, I'll always be around!
